So also, there are serious cases of massive money laundering, corruption and possible disqualification of the Sharif brothers in the event they are convicted as a sequel to final adjudication of the pending cases against them, by the apex court. Time and again, during the last over four years, the expedient PML-N, as a toothless opposition, has been a second fiddle to the PPP-led corrupt dispensation and as such, lacks credibility and confidence of the people.
As seen in the recently-held apex court hearing on the Asghar Khan case and covert support lent to the Sharif brothers by the PPP, not to proceed against them as directed by the court, proves that both the PML-N and the PPP are two sides of the same dynastical coin, beyond any doubt.
A majority of Pakistanis, despite Imran Khan's untenable "3D" rhetoric, consider him to be the only incorruptible leader in the country, not withstanding his lack of political acumen, Imran is considered to be an honest and incorruptible person and that beats everything else, ie, lack of sense of country's politics, experience and related issues and by this quality of his alone, he emerges as the only hope for a change. Incorruptibility makes up for every other inadequacy in an individual!
Imran and his PTI now need to change their daft 3D agenda tune and should now focus on critical issues of utmost national interest and imperatives covering the entire gamut of good governance, economy, law and order, eradication of corruption, deliverability of timely injustice, education, healthcare and provision of basic necessities of life such as clean drinking water, healthcare, gas and electricity. Anti-Americanism, drones and holding parleys with Taliban, hold little interest for the traumatised nation struggling to survive under excruciating and unbearable economic conditions and unstable circumstances, making the life of a poor man and woman, a living hell.
